In Case you Missed it - Cobots: Solving the Manufacturing Labor Challenge

Posted by Emily Lee on Aug 29, 2019 2:49:35 PM

Robots working in collaboration with workers at MANN+HUMMEL-800pxIMEC partnered with Fusion to host the Cobots: Solving the Manufacturing Labor Challenge event. The fun and informative afternoon featured educational sessions led by cobot vendors and experts, all in the name of helping manufacturers understand the benefits of implementing cobots at their facility: improved productivity, safer working environment, and more efficient installation than traditional automation.

Guided tours of the Fusion shop floor allowed attendees to see cobots in action, working with traditional CNC automation. For many, this was the highlight of the event.

The educational sessions from the event are available for your viewing pleasure. Even if you weren’t able to attend the event, you can view the recorded sessions and see the slides. Share this information with your colleagues, too! The more people aware of cobot technology impacts and ease of use, the better!

The Vendor Showcase had about 10 vendors displaying more examples of cobot applications, and experts to answer specific questions. Thank you to the participating companies:

This event was a great opportunity to partner with a well-connected client and to increase awareness of IMEC as a resource for automation. The combo of social and educational in one event ensure there was something for everyone. Including tacos and a local brewery on-site - every event is better with delicious food and tasty local beer from Black Horizon Brewing Company!
