OSHA has issued a call for vigilance as our workplace fatalities have increased 28% since 2013.

Thirty-six Illinois workers have died on the job since January 1, 2016. No one wants to place that phone call to a coworker’s loved one.

  • Are you analyzing trends and conducting effective incident investigations?
  • Are you being proactive with worksite analysis and staff education?
  • Are you networking and learning best practices?

OSHA is asking all Illinois employers to review their safety and health programs and procedures carefully to avoid more workplace fatalities. Check out the U.S. Department of Labor’s October 5th News Release.

October 27th is Southern Illinois Occupational Safety & Health Day in Carterville.

SIOSH Day is an annual, full day conference focused on safety and health topics for manufacturers and related industries. Don't miss the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals in the field of safety and health.

And don't forget about Downstate Illinois Occupational Safety & Health Day on March 1st in Peoria!

"Making a living shouldn't have to cost you your life. Workplace fatalities, injuries, and illnesses are preventable. Safe jobs happen because employers make the choice to fulfill their responsibilities and protect their workers."

                                         - David Michaels, Assistance Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health
