Heidtman Steel Products - Granite City division processes steel coils for the automotive, lawn and garden, truck and trailer, irrigation and wheel manufacturing sectors. Heidtman brings steel coils in from a variety of mill sources and pickles, slits and cuts the steel into sheets. The steel can be used in a wide variety of manufacturing operations, including stamping, rollforming and laser cutting.
Heidtman has the capability to process coils up to 72" wide and 1/2" thick at their Granite City facility. They can also process high strength steel and provide a drylube finish in addition the pickle and oil and black finishes for customers who wish to reduce or eliminate the oil in their steel welding processes. Heidtman has utilized lean manufacturing techniques and a strong safety program to process steel in the most safe and productive manner possible. They are a proud supporter of the Made in Illinois program.
