In support of National Manufacturing Month Elk Grove Village, home of the largest industrial park in the United States, is inviting manufacturers from the Midwest to the inaugural Made in Elk Grove Manufacturing Expo to connect, collaborate, and cultivate new relationships in efforts to position the Chicagoland region as a “Midwest Supply Chain” in attracting both national and international business.
On October 29th, 2013, from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM at 1800 Brummel Avenue in Elk Grove Village, manufacturers are gathering from the greater O’Hare region as well as Wisconsin and Indiana. This first time event has attracted nearly 90 exhibitors and over 500 manufacturer attendees.
In order to provide further value there will be break-out sessions facilitated by experts in areas that effect all manufacturing businesses today: Government Relations, Workforce Training, Innovation & Technology, and Government Financing Programs including Industrial Revenue Bonds.
The Made in Elk Grove Manufacturing Expo is one example of how Elk Grove Village proves out it’s “Beyond Business Friendly” mission in order to better serve their constituency. Additional efforts have included the launch of the EGVBizHub.com which is a web portal that provides ease of communications from the Village, as well as an opportunity for collaboration among businesses.
