The latest Manufacturing Matchmaking event brought together more than 35 organizations focused on manufacturing competitiveness yesterday.
Manufacturing firms represented capabilities in industries like automotive, medial devices, military and defense, mining, aerospace, construction equipment and many more. Participating manufacturers were hoping to identify future sales or procurement opportunities with others in attendance and many positive interactions were reported through initial evaluations.
Companies also have the opportunity to engage with local organizations focused on value-added services for their manufacturing processes and business systems. Participating vendors include logistics and packaging, technical publications, financial institutions, utilities, project management, and more.
The Bolingbrook event marked the third in a series of Chicagoland forums open to manufacturers across the region. Previous events were held in Naperville (September 2014) and Chicago (December 2014). Regional dates will be announced via www.imec.org as new locations are identified. Current indications include Lake/McHenry counties and south Cook as targets.
Downstate Manufacturing Matchmaking scheduled for June 16th in Bloomington-Normal - Learn more about the event, or register your company by visiting www.imec.org/events.cfm.
