The International Trade Center of the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Champaign County EDC will be hosting three two-hour workshops for businesses looking to create new business by exporting. These workshops, to be held on October 2, October 9, and October 16 look to help business owners understand what exporting is, who to sell to, how to export, and how to get paid.
Part 1 of the Exporting 101 Series will focus on the importance of exporting and how to begin strategically planning your exporting. Specifically, the October 2 workshop will cover:
Part 1, again, will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Illinois Small Business Development Center at Champaign County EDC – 1817 S. Neil Street, Suite 100, Champaign, IL 61820. Lunch will be provided, and the event will be $15 to attend.
Part 2 of the Exporting 101 Series will focus on the logistics needed to export your products to international markets. This October 9 workshop will cover:

Again, this event will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Illinois Small Business Development Center at Champaign County EDC – 1817 S. Neil Street, Suite 100, Champaign, IL 61820. Lunch will be provided, and the event will be $15 to attend.
The final workshop for small businesses seeking advice on reaching international markets will cover one of the trickiest parts of the exporting process—getting paid. This October 16 exporting workshop will cover:
And will feature guest speaker Paul Toskin, Commerce Bank, VP-U.S. Foreign Trade Service. Part 3 will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Illinois Small Business Development Center at Champaign County EDC – 1817 S. Neil Street, Suite 100, Champaign, IL 61820. Lunch will be provided, and the event will be $15 to attend.
Remember, each event is $15 to attend and will provide lunch, guest speakers, and most importantly knowledge. But if you choose to register for all three events, you will only need to pay $35 for these valuable workshops.
