Do you know about the free service for U.S. industry to track manufactured product requirements around the world?

This web-based e-mail alert service offers U.S. entities (citizens, industries, organizations) an opportunity to review and comment on proposed foreign technical regulations that can affect their businesses and their access to international markets.

Sign up at www.nist.gov/notifyus/.

By using the Notify U.S. Service, U.S. entities receive, via e-mail, notifications of drafts or changes to domestic and foreign technical regulations for manufactured products. Included in the users’s e-mail is a link to the Notify U.S. web site where they can read more information and order complete texts of the regulations for review and comment.

Notify U.S. is provided by the U.S. Inquiry Point for the World Trade Organization Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade (WTO TBT). The Inquiry Point is also the Standards Information Center at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and provides research and information on U.S. and foreign standards, technical regulations, and conformity assessment for non-agricultural products (and marking, labeling, and packaging requirements for agricultural products).
