Manufacturing Leaders Buzz Sessions: Connect on Critical Issues

Find me on:

rountable2020 highlighted the resiliency and significance of our manufacturers. Illinois manufacturers have been on the forefront as heroes during challenging times, contributing to efforts to become leaders in global competitiveness. Manufacturing leaders understand that in times of uncertainty, it is much better to navigate the unknown together with other forward-thinking leaders who are finding innovative ways to solve current challenges and build a stronger future.

Dedicated to cultivating ideas and sharing knowledge that can help Illinois manufacturers solve challenges and thrive through uncertainty, IMEC launched Manufacturing Leader Buzz Sessions over the summer. Buzz Sessions provide an outlet for manufacturing leaders to have lightly facilitated conversations with each other – sharing common challenges they’ve faced in 2020, as well as tips and strategies to overcome and plan ahead for a stronger 2021 - ultimately becoming more competitive as individual companies and as an industry.

Buzz Sessions are invite-only, 75-minute interactive, virtual sessions. Each session consists of up to10 manufacturing leaders and 1 facilitator from IMEC. The discussions are focused on top priorities identified by leaders around the virtual table, topics like business uncertainty, sales growth, hiring, and employee safety, to name a few. In a time when we may not have the right answers, these sessions have provided plenty of sharing of good practices and strategies that guide participating companies through the uncertainty – as well as networking opportunities.

Previous Buzz Session discussion topics include:

  • Productivity in the New Normal
  • Workplace Health and Safety Protocols
  • Adapting to New Workforce Expectations
  • Sales in a Virtual World
  • Onboarding New Employees in a Remote World
  • Strategic Planning in Uncertain Times
  • Grow, Groom, and Nurture your Team

How can you benefit from discussing your business challenges with peers and learning and sharing strategies that work? Check out the upcoming session and let us know if you are interested!
